Tashkent Day Trip, Easy Day: Cathedral of the Assumption, TV Tower, Central Plov Center.
Built in 1958, the Cathedral of the Assumption has a beautiful onion dome and a tall bell tower. It was renovated in the 1990s and is one of the largest Orthodox churches in Tashkent. The Cathedral of the Assumption is free to enter, but you will be asked to open your backpack for inspection upon entry.
The Tashkent TV Tower is the second tallest building in Central Asia and is designed in the Soviet style. Take the elevator to the 100-meter observation deck of the TV tower for panoramic views of Tashkent.
The Central Plov Center is located near the TV tower (Besh qozon location) and is a 5-minute walk away. The location on the Qiongyou itinerary assistant is incorrect, so I walked an extra 4 kilometers round trip.
