Karateng after snowfall is the real beginner's hiking experience

✔️ Based on past experience, the Karateng Grassland usually gets snow in late May. This year's snow has already fallen, so it likely won't snow again.
·
✔️ Typically, the entire grassland gets covered in snow, though sometimes it snows on mountain peaks while the sun shines below. This year's flowering season might end earlier, but don't worry—June is still the peak bloom period❗️❗️
·
✔️ Hiking across Karateng Grassland offers scenery far more stunning than photos can capture—rolling hills + canyons, with flower fields, snow-capped mountains, and valleys all in one frame, creating a beauty beyond what images can convey.
·
✔️ The Karateng route is arguably the easiest hiking trail in Xinjiang, with an altitude under 3,000 meters, vast grasslands, and no river crossings or stream wading required.
·
⭕️ Route Options:
【Karateng Small Loop】 3-day hike, 46km total
Karateng Grassland + Tarim Grassland
✅ Suitable for everyone—even kids are often seen on this trail.
【Karateng Grand Loop】 5-day hike, 80km total
Karateng Grassland + Tarim Grassland + Qiaxi Grassland + Mohur
✅ For outdoor enthusiasts who can hike 15km+ daily. This route goes deeper, with fewer tree cover in the later sections.
