Three Gorges Cruise

From November 23 to November 30, 2024, Yichang > Three Gorges Cruise > Chongqing Tour:
It was my first time taking the high-speed rail from Hong Kong to Shenzhen North and then to Yichang. In less than a day, I walked around and ate in the nearby shopping mall, had a soy milk hotpot, and then went to the Three Gorges Cruise Passenger Center to prepare to board the ship.
The Three Gorges ship has upgraded its VIP restaurant to RMB 598 per person; if you want to sit by the window and enjoy the river view, it costs RMB 100 per table. Fixed tables and food upgrades, all-you-can-drink designated drinks, hard-working waiters (who also handle the evening shows), and good food overall. The cruise itinerary is rich, but the time seems to be insufficient and the trip is too hasty.
After getting off the ship, I spent two days in Chongqing and signed up for two one-day tours through Ctrip. One was a one-day tour to visit the main attractions in the city, and the other was a one-day tour to the Dazu Rock Carvings.
On the way back, I took the high-speed rail directly back to Hong Kong. This time I sat in first class. Although it was about half the price, it felt much more comfortable than the second class seat on the way there. However, I am not sure if the air in the high-speed rail is unclean. My nose became very itchy shortly after I boarded the train on the way there and back. I did not have this problem before and after getting on the train.
