Manshu Temple, also known as Pure Land Temple, is located in the southeast of Tianshui City, Gansu Province. It is adjacent to the Maijishan Grottoes, one of the four largest grottoes in China. Together with the nearby natural attractions such as Xianren Cliff, Shimen, Quxi, etc., it forms the nationally famous Maijishan Scenic Area. Manshu Temple has a long history. Since the late Tang Dynasty and early Song Dynasty, it has evolved into "Jigu Temple", "Kyoto Temple" and "Pure Land Temple". After many changes over the years, in the 1990s, a great monk from Mount Wutai, Master Haizheng, was determined to build a temple here.
