Climbing History at Yungbulakang Palace

#chinatravel So, I made the trek to Yungbulakang Palace in Shannan, Tibet, and let me tell you, totally worth every uphill step. This place is old (like, really old, Tibet’s first palace kind of old), and it just feels special the second you see it perched on the hill.
The climb up is a bit of a leg workout, but the views? Absolutely insane. You can see the Yarlung Valley stretch out forever, with golden fields and distant mountains. It’s the kind of view that makes you stop and forget about your phone for a minute.
The palace itself is small but full of character. Bright colors, ancient murals, and that peaceful, spiritual vibe that Tibet just nails. There weren’t many tourists around, so it felt extra serene.
Definitely don’t skip this one if you’re in Shannan. It’s got history, scenery, and that “wow, I’m really here” feeling. Plus, the fresh air up there? A+ for the soul.
