The Shigatse permit window opens at 9:30 AM. Bring your ID for on-site processing, about a 40-minute wait!

🔘Oxygen for Survival: 3 liters + 10 liters (enough for four people for one day and one night)

·Buy pure oxygen at a local Shigatse specialty store, 2 cans of 3 liters for 600 RMB

·At Base Camp, altitude sickness worsened, so rented an additional 10 liters of oxygen for 400 RMB. Two people used nasal cannulas all night, enough for four people with some left over!
