Day Trip or overnight stay (Tokashiki Island)

My friend recommended Tokashiki Island to me and besides having one full day of rain, it was the best decision to hopp on that ferry and spend some time there.
Tokashiki Island is very well known among locals and tourists. If you are looking for a quiet beach with little people around you, then that is not the place for you. During the day, many tourists come to enjoy the beaches for a day but leave with the last ferry. I stayed a couple days and is was quite, peaceful and very relaxing in the evenings. However, accommodation on Tokashiki Island is definitely more expensive than in the rest of Okinawa.

Around the shore are plenty options for snorkeling and if you want to dive or get further away from the shore, you can book a tour.
There are very little grocery stores on the island. So be prepared

In my opinion, if you have limited time a day trip is absolutely enough. However, if you can, spend at least 2 full days there. This island is so pretty and worth to be explored after the last ferry, when everyone else is back at the mainland.
