This iris garden was created by a private individual and is open to the public free of charge.

On a site of about 1,000 square meters, about 10,000 irises of about 40 varieties were blooming with cool flowers.

In addition to irises, various flowers such as hydrangeas and hollyhocks were in full bloom.

The garden has a nice rest area and benches, making it feel like a park.

I was surprised to learn that this is a private garden.

The owner's warm personality was conveyed through the well-maintained flowers and the garden designed for visitors to enjoy.

He started growing irises on his own property after being captivated by the beauty of a single iris he received from an acquaintance.

The owner looked so young that it was hard to believe he was in his 80s.

He also served as a torchbearer for the Tokyo Olympics last year.

The irises, grown with such care, were truly magnificent.
