Tokyo Skytree, the tallest structure in Japan

Reaching a full height of 634m, Tokyo Skytree is no doubt the tallest structure and tower in Japan. It is built as the broadcasting and observation tower. It is primarily served as the primary television and radio broadcast site for the Kanto region, and the lower area is the commercial centre called Tokyo Solamachi, which comprises shops which sells cultural souvenirs and various local food. There are also many restaurants at the foot of the tower. The base of the tower is similar to a tripod, and from the height of 350m, it is cylindrical to offer a panoramic view of the river and the city. There are illumination for the lattice which is primarily purple and blue.
