Must-Visit Spot in Tokyo - Tokyo Skytree

Tokyo Skytree, also known as Tokyo Sky Tree, is a must-visit attraction for independent travelers in Tokyo. Located in Sumida Ward, Tokyo, Japan, it is a broadcasting tower jointly developed by Tobu Railway and its subsidiary Tobu Tower Skytree. Standing at 634 meters tall, it was certified by the Guinness World Records on November 17, 2011, as the "World's Tallest Tower," making it the tallest tower structure in the world [21]; it is currently the third tallest man-made structure globally, after the Burj Khalifa and Merdeka 118.

There are many types of tickets for the Skytree, with the main ones being the Tembo Deck ticket (350th-floor observation deck) and the Tembo Deck + Tembo Galleria combo ticket (350th + 450th floors). We naturally chose the latter because we wanted to fully enjoy all the views.

Beneath Tokyo Skytree is the shopping center "Tokyo Solamachi," which houses over 300 shops. Visitors can enjoy shopping and more, including a variety of dining options. Nearby, there are also facilities such as an aquarium and a planetarium.

Because Skytree is close to Asakusa, we also went there to buy some unique souvenirs and take photos. Senso-ji Temple is also a popular spot where you can experience the atmosphere of the Edo period. Senso-ji features the Kaminarimon Gate, a five-story pagoda, Nakamise Shopping Street alleys, and souvenir shops, attracting many tourists.
