[Tokyo/Ueno Toshogu Shrine] A night of lights where dreams come true

Ueno Toshogu Shrine was built in 1616 by the monk Tenkai and Todo Takatora, in accordance with the will of Tokugawa Ieyasu.
In 1651, the third shogun, Tokugawa Iemitsu, rebuilt the shrine and built a magnificent Golden Hall similar to Nikko Toshogu Shrine.

The gorgeous Karamon Gate and Golden Hall.

It is currently lit up for the public!
It is wonderful to see it in the light, but the gold shines even more beautifully in the dark of night.
I have been visiting for three years in a row, and it is still wonderful no matter how many times I see it.
