The lantern is lit up until 11pm and weighs approximately 700kg.

The symbol of Asakusa, Kaminarimon, is officially called Furaijinmon. It is the main gate of Sensoji Temple and is a very popular spot crowded with tourists. The front of the lantern says "Kaminarimon" and the back "Furaijinmon." The wind god and thunder god are enshrined on the left and right, making for an impressive sight.
