Tokyo | Japan's first all-premium seating cinema

| Japan's first all-premium seating cinema. Tokyo| Enjoy the professor's representative film music works supervised by Ryuichi Sakamoto at the cinema

🔍 There is a newly opened cinema in Shinjuku, 109 Cinema Premium Shinjuku, which is special because Ryuichi Sakamoto supervises the music in the cinema hall, including the creation of the background music inside the venue.

💫 Knowing that there is a Ryuichi Sakamoto Premium Collection at the opening event, I wanted to go and see it. I had bought tickets for Ryuichi Sakamoto's concert in 2020, but the performance was cancelled, and there was no chance to enjoy the professor's live performance after that.

🌟 The films shown this time include two concert videos in addition to the movies. Due to time constraints, I chose 'Ryuichi Sakamoto: Playing the Piano 2022 +(Plus)', which has one more Bonus track than the previous broadcast.

⏱ The cinema is located in Kabukicho, with a calm atmosphere that is worlds apart from the hustle and bustle downstairs.
9F has shops selling books, records, and movie merchandise. 10F has a Premium lounge, which only audiences who buy S seats can enter after the performance.
Free soft drinks and popcorn are provided in the lobby after ticket checking. So you can arrive half an hour early.
Before the opening, there is a video introduction of the cinema by the professor. The sound effect is really amazing; you can hear the friction of the keys, the stepping on the pedals, and even the professor's breathing clearly, as if you were standing next to the piano.
I chose S seats, which is a completely immersive viewing experience. You are enveloped by the seat and won't be disturbed by the surrounding audience, almost like having a private screening. The chairs in A seats are relatively simple.
