
Mingdao Palace, located in Luyi County, the hometown of Laozi, was first built in the Han Dynasty ( 743 AD ) and flourished during the Tang and Song dynasties. It is a commemorative architectural complex where Laozi, a great ancient Chinese thinker, philosopher, and founder of Taoism, preached and taught.
The current Mingdao Palace scenic area was restored and rebuilt in 2004 in accordance with the records of the Guangxu County Chronicles of the Qing Dynasty. It consists of buildings such as " Yiren Wanzaifang " , " Shengxian Bridge " , " Youlong Dike", "Yingxi Hall " , " Xuanyuan Hall " , " Xiang Hall " , " Shengxian Terrace " , etc. It is large in scale, rigorous in construction, and rich in connotation.
