A Trip to Tokyo's Suburbs by Shinkansen

The Shinkansen is a high-speed train that connects various regions in Japan. It's known for its incredible speed, taking only about 2 hours and 30 minutes to travel from Tokyo to Osaka. I had the chance to ride it from Tokyo to Shizuoka.

I bought my ticket on the same day using cash at a ticket machine. Even on a weekday evening, there were many locals taking the Shinkansen. On the way from Tokyo to Shizuoka, you can also enjoy a view of Mount Fuji through the window.

The trip from Tokyo to Shizuoka takes about an hour and, although the ticket prices are relatively high, traveling by Shinkansen to explore different regions is definitely worth it.
