Isomaru Suisan is a very popular seafood barbecue izakaya chain in Japan. I visited it once in Takamatsu 5 years ago. The affordable prices and excellent food quality made me remember it.

It’s a rare occasion to have dinner with friends in Japan, so I chose Isomaru Suisan again. There are 4 branches in Ikebukuro alone, so you don’t have to wait to be seated even if you don’t have a reservation on weekends.

I don’t know if my personal taste has become more demanding or the quality of the restaurant has become mediocre... The quality and taste of the seafood are not as outstanding as in the past, but the only thing that remains the same is that the crab miso koroyaki is really delicious! ! One per person is not too much!
