The Imperial Palace Outer Gardens refers to the Kita-no-Maru area (Kita-no-Maru Park) opened in 1969 (Showa 44) and the Imperial Palace Square, as well as the Imperial Palace Outer Gardens surrounding the Imperial Palace, usually referring to the area centered on the Imperial Palace Square.
Every tree in the Imperial Palace Outer Gardens is breathtakingly beautiful, and it is a real pleasure to look at these trees. Except for some parts of the lawn that cannot be stepped on, most of the lawn can be walked on freely. This place is not far from Tokyo Station. There is a corridor lined with ginkgo trees in the middle, which takes about five minutes to walk.
The area around the Imperial Palace Outer Gardens is very quiet. The well-trimmed black pine trees form a unique contrast with the modern buildings not far away, but they do not appear abrupt. The Imperial Palace Gaien Square covers a large area and is home to more than 2,000 uniquely shaped pine trees, making it like an urban oasis.
The Imperial Palace Gardens in Marunouchi, Tokyo, showcases the collision of classical Japanese charm and modern urban style to the greatest extent. Walking out of the Imperial Palace, you can see the high-rise Marunouchi office buildings. The visual impact is very fascinating, and the check-in and photo taking are very photogenic. It is definitely worth a visit! !
