👋 Ohayo from Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵
✨️The Shinjuku shopping district has a large, very shady park. Parks in Tokyo usually charge an entrance fee and finding the entrance can take some time.
✨️Shinjuku Gyoen was originally the residence of the Naito noble family during the Edo period. It later became a botanical garden before opening as a national park in 1949 after major restoration following World War II.
✨️Kyu-Gokyu-Sho (Old Imperial Rest House), the former imperial guest house, was built in 1896 with American Stick-style architecture. It was originally constructed as a resting place for royal family members when visiting the greenhouse inside the park. Later, it was used as a clubhouse for various activities and also served as the park’s administrative office. Today, it is a museum.
