✓ Hamarikyu Gardens
Located in Minato Ward, Hamarikyu Gardens is one of Tokyo's nine famous gardens. What makes this garden unique is its juxtaposition of towering skyscrapers and the serene view of Tokyo Bay. The garden is grand and offers a distinctive landscape. Visiting in early summer, particularly in June, you'll find the garden adorned with hydrangeas and irises. The blue, purple, and crimson flowers beautifully complement the pine trees and lush green lawns, creating a charming atmosphere.
Spanning approximately 250,000 square meters, the garden features a tidal pond and two duck hunting grounds, making it a representative daimyo garden from the Edo period. The pond, known as the 'tidal pond,' is fed by seawater, and its scenery changes with the ebb and flow of the tides, a rare feature indeed.
