Hello Kitty Afternoon Tea at Ladurée Hibiya

Ladurée Hibiya, a French macaron company and a popular afternoon tea spot in Hibiya, Tokyo, welcomes visitors with its charming ambiance.

Upon arrival, the place was almost fully booked, showcasing its popularity as a go-to spot. Many guests were enjoying the reserved Hello Kitty Afternoon Tea, while others opted for individual drinks and macarons.

Approximately 90% of the patrons here are couples on dates in Tokyo. Our table was prepared at a cozy corner by the window.

We started by taking photos of the Hello Kitty stand. Whether it's the afternoon tea or any other item, Hello Kitty always steals the show.

The afternoon tea set includes four savory items, two macarons, and three types of sweets. It also comes with one welcome drink and a choice of coffee or tea. The Hello Kitty special features sandwiches and macarons.

Hello Kitty macarons are also sold separately at the macaron corner (starting at 4,400 yen for six pieces). Additionally, Hello Kitty-themed drinks can be ordered separately.

We decided to try Ladurée champagne, which we had been curious about for a while. It was served in cocktail glasses instead of champagne flutes, adding a unique touch.

The petite-sized trays were adorable. Although the price of the afternoon tea was slightly inflated due to the Hello Kitty collaboration, the taste and presentation were satisfying. The champagne was reasonably priced, and while it wasn’t an all-you-can-drink option, the inclusion of a welcome drink was a nice touch. Thank you!
