| Kengo Kuma's new Tokyo creation is super chill~. It's a new-style hotel in the dense urban area of Oshiage. As one of Tokyo's previously most active districts, it rapidly developed due to light industrial manufacturing. To respond to the area's rather rough yet approachable quality, we used extruded cement and wooden screens on the facade, evoking the status alongside the old small factories. The combination of exposed ceilings and structural plywood indoors creates an atmosphere similar to the surrounding environment, a quality often missing in many contemporary hotels. The hotel's ground floor includes a restaurant, bar, and reception area, integrating the space through the use of wood. A very modern designer hotel, love it so much~🪵🍂🪵🍂
