[Yon Koko "Hidden Spot (Ⅱ)" in Yoyogi-Hachiman, Tokyo]

I first saw the works of Jon Koko, who is from Sweden, at the Vacant/Centre exhibition held in 2024. The quietly charming pieces caught my eye.

The ongoing "Hidden Spot (Ⅱ)" is a sequel to that solo exhibition. New sculptures and paintings were displayed side by side.

The "hidden spots" he cherishes as "good places not yet known to people" are scenes, buildings, and vehicles that we see in daily life but tend to overlook. His "architectural sculptures" emphasize the textures of wood and Japanese paper, maintaining a quietly charming presence.
