Originally, I planned to go to Shinjuku in the morning to watch a movie, but since I didn’t buy tickets in advance, the available seats were only for the evening (it’s summer vacation now, you know).
On the 5th floor corner of Tokyu Kabukicho Tower in Shinjuku—really just a corner, very low-key—a new restaurant opened in April this year. They offer a 90-minute all-you-can-eat lunch with over 50 items including sushi, tempura, various cooked dishes, curry rice, desserts, and unlimited drinks.
The price of 3,500 yen per adult is reasonable, and the environment is nice with spacious spacing between tables. Since the lunch buffet only started in July, there don’t seem to be many tourists. Customers come in gradually but it’s not overcrowded. You can enjoy a quiet lunch even in Shinjuku~
The sushi and tempura are made fresh on-site, watching the chef hand-press the sushi! On this day, there were about 8 types of sushi, plus mini seafood bowls served in cups. The tempura is especially great—the fried shrimp is deliciously bouncy, and they also have my favorite maitake mushroom tempura. I also recommend the grilled beef.
For drinks, they have coffee, tea, juice, etc. Alcoholic beverages are extra.
Tokyu Kabukicho Tower in Shinjuku has been open for two years, but this was my first visit. After lunch, there are gacha capsule toy machines and claw machine floors downstairs to explore. The location is convenient, so if you’re wondering what to eat in Shinjuku, you can take note⚡️
