Tokyo | The free park with cherry blossom in April

Ueno Park is the oldest park in Japan and is known for its rich natural scenery. Last time I traveled with my parents, we visited during cherry blossom season. Since it’s such a popular time, the park was packed with visitors—even on a weekday! It was really lively.

The cherry blossoms here come in shades of red and pink, blooming spectacularly on both sides of the paths, making it a great spot for photos. We also happened to catch a live performance, which added to the festive atmosphere. After viewing the blossoms, it’s a great idea to enjoy some Japanese food at nearby restaurants—also a lovely experience.
