Introducing Swan Lake National Urban Wetland Park
Swan Lake National Urban Wetland Park is located in the ecological zone between the east and west urban areas of Sanmenxia City. It currently covers an area of 8,850 mu, including 6,150 mu of land and 2,700 mu of water and mudflats. The core scenic area includes the Shuanglong Lake White Swan Viewing Area, the Shanzhou Ancient City and the Yellow River Ecological Forest Belt. It is a natural landscape scenic area that integrates ecology, culture and human geography.
Thanks to significant improvements in the ecological environment of the Sanmenxia Yellow River Reservoir, tens of thousands of white swans migrate here each year to roost and overwinter. The pristine white swans, the surging Yellow River, and the deep, rich loess plateaus create a beautiful wetland park, a hallmark of Sanmenxia. The scenic area currently includes Qinglong Lake (Swan Lake), Canglong Lake, Zhaogong Island, and Zhougong Island, among other major natural attractions.
