Verve Coffee Roasters is a cool café I stumbled upon while walking around Roppongi, Tokyo. This brand is from Santa Cruz, California, USA, and has several locations in Japan as well. The coffee brand is known for its philosophy that "coffee is fruit," honestly delivering the bright and fresh flavors of the coffee beans.

Among them, the Roppongi location was so satisfying in both atmosphere and coffee taste that I ended up sitting and relaxing there longer than I intended.

🌿Atmosphere of the Roppongi location

Verve Roppongi is about a 5-minute walk from Roppongi Hills. It features wood interiors, high ceilings, and a structure that lets in plenty of sunlight. There are bar tables and seats for 2-3 people, making it great for solo café visits or chatting with friends. Thanks to its Roppongi location, there are many foreigners, and overall, the atmosphere is quiet and calm. The staff are very friendly and give great coffee recommendations when you order.

I was worried about a latte with fruit, but it was surprisingly delicious—refreshing and smooth.

The sharp tonic water mixed with rich espresso spreads a bittersweet and refreshing grapefruit-like flavor all over your mouth.

It’s coffee with carbonation, so it really feels refreshing! It’s light, clean, and aromatic—perfect for hot days. Personally, it was a menu that gave me caffeine and a mood boost.

🥛Latte & Iced Americano
The latte had a perfect balance of milk and espresso, making it smooth and nutty. Since Verve’s beans are bright and fruity, the latte has a subtle sweetness—that’s the highlight! It’s light and smooth, making it perfect to enjoy with dessert.

The iced Americano has almost no bitterness but features subtle acidity and fruity aromas. It’s the kind of coffee that instantly refreshes you on a hot day!

🥯Desserts
The brownie is slightly crispy on the outside and dense inside. The rich dark chocolate flavor fills your mouth, pairing perfectly with Verve’s smooth latte or bright drip coffee. Just one piece is quite satisfying!

The waffle is served warm, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. It has a buttery flavor with a subtle sweetness, delicious even without toppings. Especially when eaten with iced Americano, the sweet and salty balance pleasantly fills your mouth.
