Winter Stroll in Tokyo: Illuminations at Akasaka Intercity AIR and Gourmet Tour in Nishikanda

Tokyo in winter offers a delightful journey of lights and gourmet experiences amidst the crisp air.

The first stop was Akasaka Intercity AIR. The twinkling illuminations wrapped around the trees created a European street-like atmosphere, even in the midst of an office district. After enjoying a leisurely walk, I stopped by a Belgian beer restaurant inside the building. The rich ale paired with mussels was the perfect winter treat. 🍺✨

On another day, I headed towards Jimbocho. At Torukari in Nishikanda, I savored a Bangladeshi curry rich in spices. Its deep flavors warmed me up. I also visited the popular Curry Hinoya, where the Japanese-style curry’s unique richness made for an enjoyable comparison.

After the meal, I strolled to a nearby small park. The ginkgo trees were glowing in golden hues, offering a serene seasonal view in the heart of the city.

A day exploring the lights of Akasaka, the gourmet delights of Nishikanda, and the natural beauty in the city center. Even a short stroll on a busy weekday can remind you of Tokyo’s profound charm.
