Tokyo Marriott Hotel

Temporary stay at Tokyo Marriott Hotel due to the need to use up Vacation Club points 😅
The boss mentioned that booking a three-night stay in a garden suite costs around NT$50,000. A quick search shows that even standard rooms are priced at ¥50,000, making accommodation in Tokyo quite expensive 😓
Located near Shinagawa Station, the hotel is relatively convenient for transportation (guests typically use the hotel shuttle to get to Shinagawa Station).
However, the hotel, built in 1990, clearly shows its age. Even the suite feels somewhat subpar 😆
The entire building has only eight suites, all featuring twin beds. The lobby mentioned that these are designed as family rooms, but this particular suite lacks a guest restroom (it seems unused), and the bathroom layout and design are less than ideal.
The two single beds are not very comfortable to sleep on, though the pillows are better than those at Hyatt 😅
Breakfast can be enjoyed either at the restaurant on the first floor or the executive lounge on the 26th floor. Using the executive lounge for two nights felt like a generous offering from the hotel. While the lounge's food selection isn't extensive, it does include a dessert cabinet and ice cream puffs, catering well to the sweet tooth of many Japanese guests 🥂
The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Shinagawa Station, making it one of the few hotels in Tokyo located in a relatively remote area 😆
