【Tokyo・Roppongi】Experience the Future of Architecture at the Mori Art Museum

I visited the ongoing exhibition "Sou Fujimoto: Architecture - Primitive, Future, Forest" at the Mori Art Museum!

What caught my eye were the small figurines inspired by architectural motifs. Arranged as if they were having a conversation around a table, these adorable figures conveyed architectural concepts in an approachable and charming way, rather than through complex terminology. I found myself leaning in to examine each of their expressions up close.

At the center of the venue stood a breathtaking 1/5 scale model of the "Great Roof Ring." The design, where the massive roof seems to blend seamlessly with the ground, gives you the sensation of wandering into a futuristic city just by walking underneath it. The model's presence was so striking that it felt almost lifelike, allowing visitors to truly grasp the grand scale of the design.

Sou Fujimoto's architecture is captivating in the way it gently bridges the boundaries between nature, people, and buildings. It feels as though you are breathing freely through the architecture, much like sensing the wind in a forest.

Located on the 53rd floor of the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, the venue offers a view overlooking Tokyo, enhancing the experience of "future landscapes" in a tangible way. Even without specialized knowledge, this exhibition is sure to spark excitement and wonder.

The exhibition runs from July 2, 2025, to November 9, 2025. Whether you're an architecture enthusiast or not, this is a highly recommended exhibition to experience the freedom of imagination! ✨
