This year marks my first trip to Japan during the cherry blossom season. I've always wanted to travel during this time, but the airfare is usually outrageously expensive. Luckily, I found a last-minute deal on tickets, and within a month, I managed to book my flights, secure accommodations, confirm insurance, and even finalize my itinerary. I feel so accomplished! 👍🏻
🌟 Travel Goal: Fully immerse myself in the beauty of cherry blossoms and night sakura 🌸
🌟 Departure Date: Tuesday, March 25, 2025
🌟 Return Date: Saturday, March 29, 2025
Here’s a breakdown of my pre-trip expenses:
1. Flights (including 20kg checked luggage for round trip):
Scoot Airlines Taipei-Tokyo round-trip ticket for 1 person ✈️ 💰TWD 8,900
2. Accommodation:
First Cabin Atago Stone 🏨 4 nights in a capsule room 💰TWD 5,000
3. Insurance:
Travel insurance with inconvenience coverage 💰TWD 1,000
4. Tickets:
Tokyo 3-Day Metro Pass + Narita Airport to Oshiage round-trip Skyliner 🚄 💰TWD 1,000
5. Preloaded Transportation Card 💰TWD 2,000 (for non-metro trips, all paid via the card)
🔔 Reminder: I recommend checking accommodations before purchasing your flight tickets. I jumped on the cheap airfare immediately, only to find it incredibly difficult to secure lodging later. During the cherry blossom season 🌸, hotels and guesthouses are in high demand, and prices can be shocking. I ended up opting for a clean, budget-friendly, high-value capsule hotel.
This post covers the preparations for this trip. Stay tuned for upcoming posts where I’ll share recommended itineraries and detailed expense breakdowns for each activity!
