March 26, 2025: Tokyo Cherry Blossom Season Solo Trip (5 Days, 4 Nights) - Day 2 Itinerary Revealed

This year, I went to Japan for the first time during cherry blossom season. I'd always wanted to travel during cherry blossom season, but airfare was incredibly expensive. This time, I found a great deal on a spot flight. Round-trip flights from Taipei to Tokyo were only NT$8,900 on Scoot. If you're looking for a ticket for cherry blossom season under NT$10,000, don't hesitate to buy it! I bought my flight, booked my accommodations, confirmed my insurance, and even finalized my itinerary within a month. I felt incredibly efficient! 👍🏻

This was also my first solo trip, and I tried to savor every attraction. I let go of my daily worries and constantly engaged in conversation with myself, reflecting on my current state of mind. I slowed down, relieved my usual tension and stress, and didn't need to match everyone else's pace. When I got tired, I just went back to the hotel to rest and savored my own time. Traveling with friends offers the joy of a group tour, but traveling alone also offers its own healing power!

🌟Goal of this trip: Enjoy cherry blossoms during cherry blossom season, including nighttime viewing🌸

Day 2, March 26, 2025:
1. Depart from hotel at 10:10 AM.
2. Arrived at Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station at 11:00 AM. Upon exiting the station, I found a traditional Japanese restaurant in a small alley. Even before opening, there was already a long line of locals waiting outside, so I joined the queue. 🌟Store Information: Kokoro-musubi
🈺Opening Hours: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM
📍Address: S.Y.Building, 1F, 2 Chome-8-17 Shinjuku, Shinjuku City, Tokyo 160-0022, Japan

💞Recommendation: Located about a 1-2 minute walk from Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station, this izakaya seems to be quite well-known in the area. There were already many Japanese people lining up outside before it even opened. The proprietress is very friendly and greets customers with a gentle and warm tone, even though we don't speak the same language. In addition to traditional Japanese boiled, fried, and grilled dishes, they also offer sashimi and sushi. The prices are very reasonable, the ingredients are fresh, and the taste is perfect, reflecting the meticulous attention paid to detail by the Japanese chefs.

3.12:30 Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden 🌸

💞Recommended: One of Tokyo's top cherry blossom viewing spots, this area boasts over 1,100 cherry trees of 68 varieties, blooming from the winter cherry blossoms in February to the hanging cherry blossoms in late April. The best viewing period is from late March to early April, when varieties such as the Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms are in full bloom. If visiting during the cherry blossom season, please be aware that reservations are required.
