The Maitreya Altar is an important Buddhist cultural landmark located at the entrance of Xuedou Mountain in Xikou Town, Fenghua District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. It was designed by the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University Co., Ltd., and combines traditional culture with modern technology, showcasing high artistry and practicality. The Maitreya Altar covers an area of about 200,000 square meters, with a building area of about 55,000 square meters. It has a magnificent appearance and exquisite interior decoration, displaying various Buddhist cultural heritage and art treasures. The design of the Maitreya Altar integrates temple architecture, traditional garden art, and modern technology, perfectly combining Buddhist culture with high technology to create an unprecedented visual effect. The Maitreya Altar adheres to the concept of "Humanistic Buddhism" proposed by Master Taixu, and is committed to creating a new Buddhist landmark that integrates tradition and modernity. It is not only a place of faith, but also a place where art, culture, and technology converge.
