Overview

Tokyo University of the Arts holds a three-day school festival every autumn. In 2025, it's scheduled to take place from September 5th (Fri) to 7th (Sun). A variety of events will be held across the campus and Ueno City, showcasing the creativity cultivated by TUAT students. These include an exhibition, concerts, mikoshi performances, an art market, and a happi coat collection (Hapicore).

Highlights ✨

Mikoshi Parade & Opening Ceremony: On the first day, a spirited performance featuring mikoshi and happi coats crafted by first-year students will be held, and the performance will also be exhibited in the streets of Ueno.

Exhibitions and Performances: With exhibitions of works by the Faculty of Fine Arts, concerts by the Faculty of Music, and stage events, the event is full of crossover expressions typical of Geidai.

Art Market & Happy Collection: Sales of student-made works and a collection event in which students compete to design their own happi coats are also popular.

Connection with the City: There will also be an event called "Geisai x Ueno Machi Matsuri," in which a mikoshi (portable shrine) is paraded through the streets in collaboration with Ueno's shopping district.
