Solve the mystery: How is Japanese Shiopan different from Thai Shiopan?

We walked past the Truffle Bakery in Ikkebukuro, near our accommodation, and the strong aroma of truffles wafted over us. As a truffle fan, I couldn't resist stopping by to pick up a piece of truffle bread to take home.

After asking the staff, if you want something with a strong truffle flavor, you'd want the Truffle Shio Bread and the Truffle Cream Donut.

Shio Bread in Thailand vs. Japanese Shio Bread
The Japanese bread is extra chewy and not as buttery. However, this special version with truffle salt is so rich that the truffle aroma lingers in your mouth for a long time.

Recommended to buy again:
I really like the truffle cream donut. It's rich and creamy, and the truffle flavor is so strong it makes you want to eat more.
