🍻 Craft Vibes at Spring Valley Brewery Tokyo

#tokyospots

Background
Spring Valley Brewery Tokyo opened in 2015 and is located in Daikanyama, Shibuya, inside the Log Road Daikanyama complex. It’s a Kirin-run brewpub with its own onsite brewing facility, which means you can see the tanks through glass panels as brews are made. The space is generous—split across two floors (plus an outdoor terrace), with warm wood interiors, industrial touches, communal seating, and artful lighting.

Why It’s Worth Visiting
You’ll find a rotating selection of craft beers brewed in-house—core year-round beers like 496, After Dark, and Jazzberry, plus seasonal and experimental brews only available at SVB Tokyo. There are also food pairings: charcuterie boards, hearty dishes like short ribs or steak, and snacks designed to complement the beers. There’s a beer tasting flight option if you want to sample several styles, which is a smart way to explore.

My Impression
Walking in feels like you’ve found a blend of casual hangout and elevated brew-destination. The brewery tanks visible behind glass add authenticity, and the mix of rustic and refined design creates comfort without pretension. The outdoor terrace is lovely in good weather, and the second-floor’s more refined atmosphere is great for pairing beers with dinner. For beer lovers, this feels like a must when in Tokyo; even for casual visitors, it’s a fun spot to unwind, taste something different, and soak up a good atmosphere.
