The Imperial Palace

The residence of the Emperor of Japan, the expansive grounds of the Imperial Palace include numerous residences and buildings. Historically, it was the site of Edo Castle, and the palace is surrounded by moats and towering stone walls. The Imperial Palace also serves as the venue for significant ceremonial events.

The natural beauty of Japan is well-preserved within the Imperial Palace grounds. In spring, the area is adorned with blooming cherry blossoms, while in autumn, the vibrant hues of changing leaves create a stunning spectacle. Additionally, the "Imperial Palace Running Course" has become a popular and revered route among runners today.

P.S. I was incredibly fortunate to witness the procession of Emperor Naruhito of Japan. His Majesty graciously waved to greet the welcoming crowd during the imperial procession.
