Aoyama Stroll — A Serene Afternoon of Crepes, Shrines, and Stadiums

One afternoon, I was walking from Gaienmae through the Aoyama 1-Chome area.

My first stop was PARLA, an adult crepe stand where you order at a classic wooden counter.

The fragrant crepe dough is topped with pistachios, mascarpone, and seasonal fruits.

Just holding one in your hand transforms into a special sweet moment.

After soaking up the sweet aroma, I headed to the nearby Aoyama Kumano Shrine.

About a five-minute walk from Gaienmae Station, this shrine, tucked away behind Aoyama-dori,
is a historic site founded by the Kishu Tokugawa family in 1619.

The approach path surrounded by trees and the vermilion-painted shrine building are impressive,
and the atmosphere is so quiet it's hard to believe it's right next to a city of buildings.

My final stop was the National Stadium.

Under the blue sky, I was awed by the magnificent stadium, which combines wood and steel.
A stroll where stillness and movement, sweetness and serenity intertwine—
This is the perfect stroll course for a leisurely "afternoon in Aoyama."
