[Nihonbashi Hie Shrine in Tokyo] A shrine standing in the city surrounded by greenery

#SpringZeroYenTrip

I visited Nihonbashi Hie Shrine in Tokyo☺️

The shrine standing in the middle of the city is surrounded by greenery, giving a sense of openness and was very healing.

It is believed to bring blessings such as matchmaking and business prosperity.

As you pass through the torii gate, you are greeted by an upward-facing guardian lion-dog wearing a necklace.

It said to pray for good luck and stroke it, so I stroked it while making a wish☺️

Guardian lion-dogs wearing necklaces are said to be very rare.

The history of Nihonbashi Hie Shrine is said to have started when Tokugawa Ieyasu entered Edo Castle, so it is a very historic shrine.

If you are interested, please be sure to visit.
