Tongliao City is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is located in the eastern part of Inner Mongolia, at the western end of the Songliao Plain, and in the heart of the Horqin Grassland. It serves as a central hub connecting Northeast and North China.
Geographical Location
Tongliao City is situated between 42°15′—45°59′ north latitude and 119°14′—123°43′ east longitude. It borders Jilin Province to the east, Liaoning Province to the south, Chifeng City and Xilingol League to the west, and Hinggan League to the north, covering a total area of 59,535 square kilometers.
