Tianjinghu Park, Tongling City

In 1972, Tianjinghu Park officially opened. The park is divided into East Lake, South Lake, and North Lake by Dike Mountain. The three lakes are connected, and there is a well in the lake that is said to connect the sky and the sea, hence the name Tianjing (Sky Well). The lake is named after the well, and the park is named after the lake.
The main attractions of Tianjinghu Park include: Jiuqu Bridge, Peony Garden, Viewing Garden, Valley Stele Forest, Copper Horse Park, Copper Culture Square, and Tongtian Pavilion.
Famous visitors: Li Bai, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, built a house on Wusong Mountain to read and relax, which is known as Wusong Study.
Su Shi and Huang Tingjian, poets of the Song Dynasty, built a pavilion on the mountain to relax and compose poetry, which is known as Su and Huang Poetry Pavilion. Later, famous officials such as Li Gang, poets such as Wang Shipeng and Lin Nan, and literati from the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, also came to visit the Taibai Temple and compose poetry. Wusong Study was destroyed and rebuilt several times. It was rebuilt in the Song Dynasty and renamed Li Taibai Temple. It was rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty and renamed Taibai Study.
In December 2007, Tianjinghu Scenic Area was approved as a 4A-level scenic area by the National Tourism Administration.
In April 2017, Tianjinghu Scenic Area in Tongling became the fifth batch of provincial-level water conservancy scenic areas in Anhui Province.
