Kiasma Coffee is a retro-modern coffee shop blending seamlessly into the quiet streets of Zoshigaya, located close to the Kishimojin-mae stop on the Toden Arakawa Line (Tokyo Sakura Tram). Its greatest appeal lies in its quaint, unique space, renovated from a building constructed in the early Showa period, and the exquisite flannel drip coffee it serves. ☕️
The interior retains the history and warmth of the old house, while the chic and subdued decor is unified. The soft sunlight streaming into the second floor seating creates a nostalgic atmosphere. The former bathroom in the back, in particular, creates a beautiful contrast between the red walls and the green sofas, further enhancing the retro-modern atmosphere. ✨
In addition, a collection of books, mainly science fiction novels, is displayed in one corner of the shop, creating a cozy space perfect for a quiet coffee and a good read.
The coffee served is carefully brewed using a flannel drip filter, using beans roasted in-house by the owner to match the characteristics of the beans. Its delicate, fragrant flavor, perfectly balanced—none too bitter, none too heavy—has garnered popularity. Sweets like its homemade baked cheesecake are also carefully crafted to complement the coffee, making this a hidden gem of a cafe highly recommended for those seeking a quiet moment with a delicious cup of coffee in a relaxing atmosphere. 🏠
