[Aomori] How to enjoy the winter-only Oirase Gorge

Hoshino Resorts Oirase Keiryu Hotel stands on the banks of the Oirase Stream.

This hotel is packed with things you can only do in a snowy area! There are many ways to enjoy winter.

1st photo: This hotel is divided into the West and East buildings, and the corridors are decorated with ice waterfall motifs, which are beautiful and pretty.

2nd photo: There is terrace seating at Keiryu-BASE on the second floor of the West building.

There is also a free drink space in front of the terrace, where many guests are relaxing with a hot drink in hand while looking at the snowy scenery.

3rd photo: Ice waterfall light-up tour, which is being held until March 2nd. This tour is held several times a day, but it is so popular that it is so fully booked that it is difficult to make a reservation at the last minute.

It is a bus tour that takes about an hour to see the ice waterfalls and icicles lit up in blue and other colors.

4th photo: Until March 24th, the open-air bath in the large communal bath will be transformed into "Hyobaku no Yu" (Ice Waterfall Bath)! As the name suggests, it is an open-air bath where an ice waterfall is reproduced right in front of you.

5th photo: Until March 24th, you can experience making ice waterfall soap. There are sessions at 11:00 and 14:00, and there is no age limit, but small children must be accompanied by a guardian.
