Lake Toya is a place of tranquility and healing

Lake Toya is located in the southwest of Sapporo City, Hokkaido. It is a lake that spans the two towns of Toyako Town, Abuta County and Sobetsu Town, Usu County, and belongs to the Nagakawa River system, a secondary river. Usually after visiting Noboribetsu, people will stop by Lake Toya. It is about an hour’s drive from Noboribetsu.
Toyako Lake is an inland lake with calm waters and beautiful scenery. The lake and mountains are really very healing.
