Toyama Castle: A Fusion of History and Modernity

Located in the heart of Toyama City, Toyama Castle stands as a time capsule of history. Originally built in the 16th century as the residence of the renowned Sengoku warlord, Sassa Narimasa, the castle now exists as a reconstructed keep surrounded by a park, quietly watching over the daily life of the city.

Inside the castle, historical artifacts of Toyama are on display, including armor models and illustrated scrolls from the Sengoku period, transporting visitors back to the era of samurai.

Though the keep is modest in size, it exudes a commanding presence. From the observation deck, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Toyama City and the majestic Tateyama Mountain Range, leaving a lasting impression of this city that beautifully blends history and nature.

📍 Location: Toyama Castle (Honmaru 1-62, Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture)
