Visiting Villa del Balbianello felt like entering a secret world. The only way in was by boat or a steep walk, which made arriving feel special. The villa’s history was fascinating — tales of adventurers, writers, and aristocrats who lived here. But my favorite part was simply sitting in the garden, overlooking Lake Como, and imagining their lives. The garden terraces cascaded down like green steps into the lake, each corner offering a postcard view. It was romantic, dramatic, and peaceful all at once. I could have stayed there forever. #mytraveldiary
