Wat Pa Phra Phikanet, Ubon Ratchathani Province
It is an abandoned temple located in Dong Phra Khanet or Dong Phitsanet according to the local language. It was originally an ancient Bung Saphang community called "Ban Ta Net". It has been a sacred place since the Stone Age. There were excavations and 8-cubit human skeletons and sandstone sema markers of various sizes scattered throughout the forest. There was a sandstone Phra Phikanet, which the locals call Phra Ming-ngu, and a sandstone bull or Kon Nonthi, which the locals call Krathing Crouching, which is the bull of Shiva according to the beliefs of Brahmanism. A castle spire was also found. It is assumed that this place used to be a temple before. When Buddhism was accepted in the Dvaravati style, the temple was transformed into a Buddhist temple.
