As you walk slowly through Uchiko Town, you will come across the **Uchiko Book Information Center (内子町図書情報館)**, which is beautifully located in a quiet alley. The small exterior looks like a hanok or a traditional Japanese house, so I was drawn in without thinking as I passed by.

The interior of the library was wider and warmer than I thought! The interior had a wooden feel, the soft lighting, and the local residents quietly reading books, so it was full of a comfortable atmosphere. Above all, there were many spaces where travelers could sit and rest freely, so it was perfect for stopping by during a light walk.

Most of the books are in Japanese, but the tourist information materials and exhibits related to local history were well organized, so it was fun to look around. I was able to get a town map and information on famous cherry blossom spots, which was very useful.

A space where you can take a short break and get a glimpse of the local daily life. The Uchiko Library Information Center is a quiet place that is different from the noisy tourist destinations. If you want a little healing during your leisurely trip to Uchiko, I highly recommend stopping by.
