[Kyoto] Not just 10 yen coins! Introducing Byodo-in Temple, which is featured on banknotes

Byodo-in Temple in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, is a very famous and popular tourist spot for its Phoenix Hall, which is depicted on the 10 yen coin.

Also, although it is not well known, the "phoenix" depicted on the 10,000 yen bill is modeled after the first phoenix (currently the second generation) that is displayed on the roof of the Phoenix Hall.

Byodo-in Temple is home to many national treasures and is known as the place with the highest density of national treasures in Japan.

The first phoenix can also be seen at the museum "Hoshokan."
