[Kyoto Prefecture] Experience tea at Fukujuen Uji Tea Workshop

Located near popular Uji tourist spots like Uji Shrine and Ujikami Shrine, this facility offers learning about, experiencing, and tasting tea. You can make tea inside the facility, and the museum displays panels explaining the tea-making process used from the Meiji to Showa periods. Because it's a little far from the central area, it seemed less crowded. There was a facility offering sweets made with Fukujuen tea, but I missed them due to the closing time. Shop hours in the Uji/Byodoin area are short, so we recommend sightseeing in the morning.
