Uji: A small town that moves at its own pace but captures your heart.

Before visiting Uji, all we knew was that it was famous for its green tea 🍵, so we decided to add it to our itinerary. We traveled to Uji by train 🚉, and upon arriving at the station, we followed the map and strolled through charming residential areas. The atmosphere was breathtaking, with stunning views that even a camera couldn't fully capture, complemented by the cool and pleasant weather. Although the town isn't very large, we ended up spending several hours there. Uji offers everything green tea-related, making it a must-visit for matcha lovers. From savory dishes to desserts, green tea is the star ingredient. We opted for green tea ice cream and enjoyed it while exploring the town. It was a place we didn't have high expectations for, but it left us deeply impressed with its ambiance 🤩.
